From Downhill to Enduro, Incas 2.0 brakes set a new benchmark

Braking® presents the evolution of the INCAS 2.0. These brakes have been designed to meet the needs of every type of biker: from the Downhiller to the most aggressive Enduro rider, without forgetting a braking power that is also perfectly suited to modern E-Bikes. With this version you have the possibility to mount a 3mm thick disc, in combination with a caliper with a ventilated spacer. A disc so massive will be more difficult to deform and will have less fading.


Features

  • Completely renewed materials and processes: master cylinder and caliper machined from billet and CNC machined with high quality finishing.
  • New Oversize hose with 5.7 mm diameter to allow a better internal oil flow and weight saving, maintaining the optimal braking power that characterizes the IN.Ca.S. system.
  • New pads with a wider braking surface, to allow a better grip between disc and pad and to offer a greater heat dissipation.
  • New Caliper’s design, which ensure optimized hose placing and easy pads replacement.
  • Ventilated spacer CNC machined aluminum, which makes room for the 3 mm disc, and at the same time dissipates the heat produced by the caliper.
  • Wave fixed disc with a 3 mm thickness. Choice between 180 mm diameter. (235 gr) And 203 mm (260 gr).
  • Thicker disc reduces fading, meanwhile totally removing one of the biggest braking problems: disc warping. This problem is mainly found on significant weights, such as e-bikes combined with the weight of the rider.

Technologies

In.Ca.S. - INterchangeable CArtridge System
The In.Ca.S. technology offers the possibility to customize the brakes using different pump diameters and therefore allowing the rider to best adapt the system to their needs. The cartridges are easily and rapidly replaceable so as to quickly change the setup and operating pressures of the system if or when need.

  • 9mm - Power and modularity
    By moving less oil than the 10mm version, the pads progressively move close to the disc, giving the possibility to apply the braking force at best, it is the most used cartridge as it provides a softer feeling.
  • 10mm - Rapid and braking type on/off (sold separately)
    The 10mm cartridge is more responsive than the 9mm cartridge as it allows more oil to be moved, which means less rider force is needed for an immediate "sharp" stop feeling.

Three-Function Master Cylinder
The Master cylinder has been developed to separate the mechanical function from the hydraulic, keeping them independent from each other.

  • Hydraulic Function: An innovative system of interchangeable hydraulic cylinder cartridges containing different-sized pistons. The different diameters available allow the user to vary the amount of brake fluid moved by the piston and/or the speed/pressure at which the fluid is moved.
  • Mechanical function: the lever can be adjusted regardless of the piston position, to get the ergonomics perfectly tailored to each rider. The piston position can be adjusted to reduce the lever free stroke.
  • Main Body: Aluminium body is machined from billet and CNC machined with high quality finishing.

Motorcycle inspired CNC Caliper
Caliper machined from billet and CNC machined in order to obtain a higher level of surface and structural strength while reducing overall weight.
Two 26 mm pistons ensure an effective and powerful braking and the external design is optimized in order to maximize the heat exchange surface of the body and the structural resistance, to properly sustain all the possible external forces.
The pistons, which moves on 4x4 mm square o-rings inspired by motorcycle concept, are subjected to hard anodizing in order to increase the resistance and reduce the wear, extending the product overall life.


Lever configuration

  • Front brake: left lever (hose length: 950 mm).
  • Rear brake: right lever (hose length: 1850 mm).
