Fulcrum Soniq ALX 2WF C23 AFS wheelset 2025
The excellence of aluminum
The flagship model, Soniq ALX, is a combination of technology and design. The welded rim made of 6082 aluminum with T-6 treatment features a non-drilled bridge, ensuring greater stiffness and strength, and eliminating the need for tape for tubeless setup. The medium-profile rim of 33 mm, with a wide and modern 23 mm internal channel, is suitable for tires from 30 mm and up.
Additionally, the wheel features CNC Square Milling machining on the upper surface, sandblasted finish, laser-etched graphics, and chrome adhesive details. The flat, triple-butted spokes, arranged in Fulcrum's 2:1 pattern, optimize power transmission. The hub with integrated axle and adjustable bearing preload ensures smoothness and durability.

Technologies
2-Way Fit™
2-Way Fit™ profile for tubeless and clincher. Tubeless technology was first used by the auto industry , then by motorcycles and now has reached the cycling industry. After its debut with mountain bikes the moment has come to “put it on the road”, and that’s what we propose to do.
2:1 Two-to-One Spoke Ratio™ - Disc Brake
A system that is as simple as it is effective, the result of the ingenuity of Fulcrum® engineers and attentive observation of the results of the tests performed on the wheels on a daily basis. These tests made it possible to understand that the forces that act on the sides of the wheels, and therefore on the spokes, are extremely different; but what’s more, the differences between the front and rear wheels are also evident and significant. The front wheel, in fact, has to remain stable even during braking of the disk on the left side, and the rear wheel, in addition to the sprocket set, has to compensate for the traction of the force on the chain side.
F.I.C. Fulcrum Identification Card - 100% HANDMADE QUALITY
Right from its inception Fulcrum® has been marked by feature that continues to this day: that is to design, prototype and industrialise all the wheels characterised by the red “F”. Indeed these take shape inside of the R&D, the leading-edge department that represents the beating heart of the Italian company. Every single component of the wheel, the materials chosen and the technologies applied are the tangible result of the effort that Fulcrum® makes every day to give you maximum performance and reliability.
Undrilled Rim Bed
No holes on the bridge connector means that the rim is uniform at every point, free from critical areas subject to stress.
The advantages are immediately clear: less weight, longer lasting rims, greater resistance to fatigue, the possibility of giving the spokes more tension and more stiffness which, in terms of performance, means improved responsiveness and acceleration.
Square Milling
For the new Racing Zero’s aluminium rim, we decided to keep the triple-milled structure throughout the profile to minimise aluminium thicknesses. Next, our technicians added 3D milling at the base of the spokes. This means less material but the same reliability since, in this particular design, the forces are well distributed over the rim. Triple and “Square” milling enable maximum weight reduction on the rim periphery, producing an extremely responsive wheel.
High strength Aluminum
A special aluminium: the best performing aluminium wheels require a careful choice of materials: Fulcrum® R&D uses only the best 6082 aluminium alloy with a T-6 pre-ageing treatment that stabilises the alloy and allows durability and reliability at the highest level. Aluminium 6082 is the 6000 series alloy with the highest resistance, it has replaced 6061 in many applications and is generally used in high-stress applications.
