Prologo Scratch M5 CPC TiroX saddle
The saddle that Won the Tour de France 2020 with the patented technology CPC
Scratch M5 CPC is designed to be the next level of performance. The CPC technology is the same used in Formula1, patented by Prologo for the cycling industry. The 3D polymer cones maximize the grip when assuming an aggressive position and help to change position quickly on the saddle. On the no PAS version the special “AIR CPC”, with more room from one polymer and the other, offers +10% air cooling than standard closed saddles.
Thanks to the new “T SHAPE” design, size and ergonomics the SCRATCH M5 CPC is a unisex saddle (men and women) suitable for a multicategory use.
The new MSS Multi Sector System, designed in co-operation with the Polytechnic of Milan, helps improve comfort and performance; the active foam pads, separated from each other, create independently zones that work smartly and individually, favoring the natural movement of the pedaling phases both of pushing and pulling, absorbing the vibrations that the base transfers to the saddle. The Round Shape of the M5 allows the pelvis a natural rotation, creating stability and support for the lumbar areas, and the distribution of the pressures on a greater surface
Despite the absence of a real perineal channel, the SCRATCH M5 has an open base able to eliminate pressure peaks in the genital pelvic area. The closure of the prostate zone also offers better protection against extreme climatic conditions (rain or mud).
Technologies
Active Base System
Active Base System is an innovative system applied to ‘closed’ saddles, which provides the advantage of having a base with a central hole. The result is excellent comfort thanks to the release of pressures in the perineal area, improving blood flow, avoiding the crushing of soft tissues and improving the distribution of pressures along the entire surface of the saddle itself.In addition, this smart system protects the cyclist from mud and water when cycling in all weather conditions (especially the most critical ones) or from muddy terrain.
CPC - Connect Power Control
Placed in clever points to absorb vibrations and shocks, it also helps the rider to keep the best position on the bike by ensuring the necessary grip in all weather conditions. Gloves provide a greater grip increasing control and handling. It removes the risk of any numbness as the blood flow is stimulated by the CPC through a “kinetic massage”. Tested by professional Road and MTB teams ensures comfort and increases performance. The CPC technology is used in the military and in Formula 1 (seats and special gloves) and uses a polymer material in 3D, empty, unique in its kind.
TiroX Rail
Rail light-alloy steel, highly resistant to traction, and torsion, for its physical characteristics and light weight, is used in the aviation and aerospace industry. TiroX then turns out to be a rail with a good balance between weight and strength, that doesn’t fear the normal stress that addresses a bicycle.
MSS - Multi Sector System
The Multi-Sector System provides different individual zones mapped and separated along the saddle, each composed of different interactive foams and single-cell padding. These areas work independently adapting to all the positions that cyclist can take.
