Technologies
PowerLock
Sram engineers developed PowerLock® as a safe and easy way to connect the two ends of the chain. PowerLock® requires no special tools for installation, but the particularly tight tolerances of 10, 11 and 12 speed drivetrains require each PowerLock® to be used for one application only.
Flattop
To bring X-Range™ technology to life, Sram had to develop a narrower chain. The unique shape of the Flattop™ link not only made it possible to extend the range of chainrings, but also to make the drivetrain run quieter and increase the strength and durability of the chain.
