The Ekar GT rear derailleur was designed using Campagnolo's unparalleled experience and ingenuity, developed and refined over 90 years of innovation.

The dedicated 1x system and the 13 speeds make it effective, and the use of the 9-tooth sprocket enables the creation of a full range of ratios with short and equidistant shifts and well-maintained cadence levels. The technology, design and material have been chosen to meet the specific performance needs of all-road and gravel enthusiasts, the combination of fast, precise and reliable shifting combined with high chain security, lightness, durability and robustness make it a perfect fit for the all-road arena.

The design of the rear derailleur with a medium-length cage is compatible with the different sprocket sizes on all four cassette gear options, from 9-36 to 10-48, perfect for any gravel requirements. The parallelogram's 2D trajectory is designed specifically for the Ekar GT 1x system, so that the rear derailleur makes precise mechanical movements to make best use of the 13 sprockets. Its oversized pulleys guarantee optimum operation and high chain retention to ensure safety and peace of mind, whatever the terrain. The clutch, permanently engaged for more reliable chain retention and minimal operating noise, can be locked forward for easy wheel removal.

In the Ekar GT gearbox alone, there are more than 70 carefully designed and engineered individual parts. Carbon-fibre reinforced polyamide and anodised 7075 and 6082 alloys are skilfully combined in the body and rocker arm of the Ekar GT rear derailleur to achieve the best combination of strength, durability and lightness, for long-term reliable operation and excellent resistance to the shocks, sand and dust of gravel trails, while the bolts are made of steel WITH SPECIAL SURFACE TREATMENT to ensure long-term strength and resilience in the harshest conditions.

Obviously, the single chainring is easy to use: no derailleur, significantly reduced weight, fewer moving components that collect dirt and can create snags, and high chain security without unnecessary chainring overlaps - a perfect solution for gravel trails.

The two cranks made of aluminium are fitted with AISI 630 steel semi-axles, in line with the skilful combination of materials throughout the Ekar GT groupset, in order to obtain components that are always light, but with maximum efficiency and durability.

The new ProTech ™ technology joins the two semi-axles inside the bottom bracket with a single strong screw. The oversize stainless steel bearing is located on the crank, keyed to the semi-pivot, for maximum smoothness and strength - and to be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance, without having to remove the cups.

There are five gear options: 36T, 38T, 40T, 42T, 44T. Their optimised design offers efficient transmission and maximum chain reliability.

The light and strong 7075 aluminium chainrings are easily interchangeable: you can simply unscrew them from the four crank arms without having to remove the crankset. The four arms, which are set symmetrically for optimal load distribution, have a 104 mm bolt circle. Changing the chainrings is a simple and efficient way to change your ratio as you tackle different types of course.

The Ekar GT crankset features three crank length options - 170, 172.5 and 175 mm - to suit riders and bikes of all types. For some gravel bikes with low bottom brackets, shorter cranks are most commonly used to avoid getting stuck on uneven and unpredictable surfaces.

A Q factor of 151 mm offers a comfortable and efficient pedalling style, whatever your size.

The Ekar GT 13-speed sprocket set is available in four different options, from 9/36 to 10/48, which complete the range and reflect the different specialisations within the gravel scene, and each combination provides a very smooth gear progression. Small jumps for the first 6 sprockets, while the jumps increase in the second half, where there are larger sprockets.

This feature provides an optimal riding experience and helps you get the most out of your performance on difficult trails and terrain. The wide choice of larger sprockets allows for the most compact sprocket set for endurance events and longer ratios for more adventurous riders. The sprocket combinations are paired with dedicated, easily replaceable gears to provide the widest range of ratios, smooth transitions and maximum efficiency and, unlike 2x systems, no waste. Two of the four combinations are equipped with a 9-tooth sprocket. Extensive comparative tests have shown that the 9-tooth sprocket is just as efficient as any 10- or 11-tooth sprocket, with no additional friction through the specially profiled teeth, so that none of the power produced is lost.

The construction of the EKAR GT sprocket set maintains Campagnolo's design philosophy with a single block for the largest sprockets, five loose pinions with 7075 aluminium spacers and an initial triplet or quadruplet: this construction gives the sprocket set optimal lightness and reactivity.  With appropriate rings and adapters, the N3W body is compatible with all current and future Campagnolo 12, 11 and 10-speed groupsets.

The new C13 chain is a fundamental element of the Ekar GT mechanical groupset. In addition to providing an efficient drive train, in the gravel discipline the chain must function perfectly to contribute to smooth and fast gear shifting, ensuring maximum safety at all times. It must also be robust and durable, and the Ekar GT C13 chain offers outstanding performance on all fronts.

The C13 chain mates effectively with the special profile toothing of the 1x13-speed crankset chainring and Ekar GT sprockets for a safe, efficient and smooth transmission. Despite its narrow profile, the C13 chain is very strong; its inner links in C60 steel with nickel-Teflon surface treatment withstand the highest rate of wear to which they are subjected on gravel trails. The entire chain, made in Campagnolo's Vicenza factory, undergoes an exclusive lubrication process using an ultrasound bath system that ensures that the special lubricant formula deeply and uniformly coats all the links. The result is efficient operation and high resilience, guaranteeing longevity even in difficult off-road conditions, and requiring less maintenance.

The Ekar GT C13 chain is available in two locking options: the classic Campagnolo pin, or the new C-Link™ for even easier removal and cleaning. The two versions have been designed to offer the versatility required to meet the diverse needs of all types of gravel use, worldwide. Whether you are a pure gravel rider, compete in long-distance endurance races or choose to enjoy the all-road experience, in both versions you will enjoy the same strength, efficiency through the use of the same materials and processes.
