Lots of power, little weight
Electric mountain bikes with so much power have never been so light. The lightweight carbon frame features weight-saving FlexPivot technology, and houses a custom battery that packs more watts per kilo than any other on the market. This unrivalled power-to-weight ratio makes riding incredibly fun.

Full throttle
Power comes from a customised version of the Shimano EP801: the lightest motor capable of delivering the big power Cannondale was looking for. With 85Nm of torque and 600W peak output, it brings maximum power to the field of lightweight e-bikes.

Maximum power
Cannondale has developed customised riding modes for the Moterra SL, optimised specifically for the kind of high-speed riding this bike encourages. Four different aid levels, easily adjustable when riding, help you choose between maximum range, monster power or the ideal mix of both. Quiet or always at full throttle, every ride on the Moterra SL will be just the way you want it.

Superb handling
At first glance, it looks like something out of the ordinary: an adjustable head angle as open as a DH bike, the long reach and upright seat angle of a modern trail bike, the suspension set-up and the fully size-specific geometry. When you put all these details together, you get a truly incredible bike.

Lively suspension
More than just a weight-saving measure, the strong FlexPivot stays are also at the heart of the suspension design; acting as a Horst joint, they create a true four-bar system, allowing engineers to fine-tune the suspension's perfect response to stress. The result? Incredible traction, confident braking, and a playful feel that will have you pushing hard.

FlexPivot
These carbon flex points are something we pioneered years ago and are a little trick in frame engineering. They reduce weight, eliminate maintenance and allow us to use a sophisticated 4-bar suspension design, increasing traction and control.

Designed for you
With the Proportional Response design, everything from the suspension layout to the geometry and even the length of the chainstays is fully customised to your size to ensure optimum performance for you. Built for performance, just for you.

Flip it your way
The Flip Chip lets you choose whether to keep the Moterra Neo SL as a "mullet" bike, with a 29" wheel configuration at the front and 27.5" at the rear for agility and playfulness, or switch to 29" on both wheels for maximum traction and rolling efficiency.

The right angle
The adjustable headset offers a head angle adjustment range of 1.2 degrees. Open it if you want more stability at speed, close it if you prefer more agility on technical terrain.

Custom 601Wh battery
Using special cells that store more energy per kilo than standard cells, we have created an incredibly compact battery that packs an impressive 601Wh into just 3.1kg (including wiring!). More power, less weight.

As you like it
You can run the casings directly inside the headset for a cleaner look, or through the slots in the frame for simplicity and ease of maintenance.

Don't be shy
Like a helmet for your motor, an integrated bashguard protects it from violent shocks on the trail. You might not need it much, but when you do, you're glad it's there.
