DT Swiss H 1900 Spline 29' disc 6 bolts Boost wheelset

A reliable aluminum wheelset now with Ratchet LN Technology for extended eMTB tours

When motor assistance and leg power meet, the range of terrain a bike can conquer grows almost exponentially. The H 1900 SPLINE is designed for this, now upgraded with the famous DT Swiss Ratchet technology. The Ratchet LN system distributes the combined forces from the rider and the motor over a larger area than the previous pawl freehub systems, increasing the systems’ durability thanks to lower load peaks. The 370 hub enables full power transmission to the ground with reinforced hybrid spokes laced to a resistant aluminum rim.

Features

  • An aluminum, hooked, tubeless ready rim available in 30 or 35 mm of inner width and in 29” or 27.5”.
  • The cassette interface of the freehub body is optimized with a specific hardened steel for the higher loads that occur on eMTBs.
  • First wheel equipped with the Ratchet LN system, for force distribution over a larger area, increasing durability.
  • The brake interface is available in center lock or IS (6 bolt).
  • DT Hybrid 1 spokes are reinforced and increase the lateral and torsional stiffness of the wheel.
  • Real weight: 2,205 Kg (wheelset)

Technologies

Tubeless
Tubeless tires have a number of advantages over the conventional combination of tube and tire: without risking snakebites, the tire can be run with lower pressures providing better grip. The lower pressure also results in a more comfortable ride. Eliminating the tube means there is no friction between tube and tire and therefore less rolling resistance when the tire rolls over the ground and obstacles. If tubeless sealant is used, the tire can self-seal stings and small cuts. A big advantage for all those who like to ride long and far from the next bikeshop.

Engagement Angle
The engagement angle is the maximum degree that the freehub body can rotate until the teeth of the freehub system engage and accelerate the hub. This angle is calculated by dividing 360º by the number of engagement points of the freehub system.

Pro Lock
Pro Lock is a process where a dual compound, adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds. By threading the nipple onto the spoke the adhesive is activated and starts to harden. Re-truing the wheel is still possible after the adhesive has hardened completely, with only a minimal decrease of its thread-lock function.

Bearing
DT Swiss hubs are designed to function optimally once installed in a bicycle. To achieve this, the clamping force created by the wheel mounting system must be taken into account when constructing a hub. Learn how to ensure the optimal rotating property of the ball bearings and discover why DT Swiss does not offer hubs with adjustable bearing clearance.
