The Award-Winning Float X2 Gets Better
"Factory" says it all. The best-of-the-best technology Fox has to offer is available in Factory Series version with a buttery smooth, and ultra durable Genuine Kashima Coat. World Cup proven.
The X2 twin chamber damper is an absolute milestone in the damper market, and the Fox engineers are showing the competition that is far from the end of development for downhill air suspension. The separately adjustable compression and rebound in the high-speed and low-speed range, this damper can be adapted to a variety of downhill courses to give you a performance that you have never experienced before.
In the current 2019 model, the air chamber has been optimised so that it can be filled with a maximum air pressure of 300 PSI. This reduces the risk of a punch in extreme jumps. Furthermore, the design of the valve has been changed to avoid air leakage during inflation.
This damper can be easily changed between an open and closed operating mode by lever. This makes it easier, for example, to go uphill on a level surface or to ride in a saddle. When switching, the respective individual settings of the compression and rebound stages are not changed and are therefore always available.

EVol (Extra Volume)
Patented Air Transfer Port System. An EVol linear spring curve gives forks and shocks plushness off the top, extra mid-stroke support, and more tunable bottom-out progression, allowing riders to tap into the ideal pairing of front and rear-end feel.
Less friction, more flow. Fueled by years of RAD development, X2 hits the sweet spot with its a linear damping profile, revised oil flow, and redesigned seals on DHX2 and Float X2 shocks. The wide adjustment range gives riders the support and grip that the trail demands, as well as a more plush and open feel in the initial travel.
Available on the Float X2 and DHX2 shocks, the X2 2-position Open/Firm lever retains high and low speed compression adjustment.
RVS (Rod Valve System)
The Rod Valve System (RVS) provides a more seamless damping transition when absorbing small to large impacts, resulting in faster system response, more control, and less harshness.
Genuine Kashima coat
Kashima's distinctive gold color is backed by its high performance attributes—properties that provide an exceptionally smooth feel and extreme durability.
Metric Installation Dimensions
By introducing metric installation dimensions, the damper manufacturers want to achieve standardization of standards. There should not be so many different variants in the future. In addition, a similar linear gradation of the various length and stroke dimensions is sought, as is already the case with suspension forks. Incidentally, these dampers offer more space inside, because with the same length stroke, the hole spacing was usually slightly increased. This can optimize the function and reliability.
- 1x volume spacer.
- 1x compression/rebound adjustment wrench (3 and 6 mm Allen key).
- 1x adjustment knob.
