Direct from the Research and Development Team at Gaerne comes the new “MTB 2DENSITY SOLE”
A new sole designed specifically for Mountain Bike use. The structure of the sole combines both nylon and fiberglass materials, making it durable, lightweight and thin. The tread has been designed to ensure maximum grip/stability and has an excellent resistance to varying types of terrain. Two removable front studs give this shoe improved traction in variable and muddy terrains. Made with premium materials to give excellent qualities of comfort and good technical qualities. Real weight of the shoe: 350 g (US 9).
Upper
The upper is made entirely of soft and perforated microfiber to enhance the light weight and breathability properties of the shoe.
Closure system
One micro adjustable BOA L6 reel to grant an easy and uniform manner, ensuring a constant holding, without any pressure point. Boa Technology guarantees the reel and the cables of the BOA closing system for the entire useful life of the product.
Comfort fit tongue
The shoe’s tongue is perforated for better internal airflow and features a high-tech cushioning layer for increased comfort.
Integrated anti slip heel cup
All-new integrated anti slip heel-cup will not deform or weaken and it allows for the best foot stability and control.
Transpirant insole
Made with special anatomic design conforming to the foot for optimal comfort. Features micro-perforations for ventilation. Removable.

Air Ventilation System
All Gaerne shoes provide excellent breathability and a perfect climate.
Comfort Fit Tongue
The shoe's tongue is perforated for better internal airflow and features a high-tech cushioning layer for increase comfort.
Traspirant Inner Sole
A breathable insole with a special anatomical design actively stimulates the cyclist's foot with each pedal stroke, improving athletic performance. It is hypoallergenic and antibacterial and, thanks to a series of micro-holes, ensures excellent ventilation for the foot. The insole is also removable.
The BOA Fit System
The BOA L6 dial platform consist of a micro-adjustable dial, super-strong lightweight laces and low friction lace guides. The combinations of these elements allows the rider to obtain uniform closure without any pressure points. The absence of velcro straps allows for greater air circulation in the front part of the shoe.
