The Lightweight FERNWEG EVO 85 Disc is an aerodynamic wheel, perfectly suited for a triathlon or ironman. Through months of testing in the wind tunnel and cooperation with various aerodynamics specialists and professional triathletes, Lightweight was able to develop a new construction based on the Lightweight MEILENSTEIN. The result is the Lightweight FERNWEG, a top carbon wheelset in the combination of aerodynamics, crosswind resistance, stiffness, handling and weight. The low rolling resistance leads you more easily to your goal, increases your speed and makes you more effective. Crosswinds do not disturb the FERNWEG and let athletes get the maximum performance out of the aero position. The fight for every single gram can be at the expense of stiffness. Lightweight is known for best values regarding stiffness. This also continues with the FERNWEG. At 80 Newton per millimetre (N/mm) the aerodynamic wheels are on average around 20 N/mm stiffer than comparable aero rims. Practical tests clearly showed that the triathlete has to leave his aerodynamic seating position later, as the wheel remains stable for a long time. This was also confirmed in the wind tunnel.
