The rim is designed with a 45 mm deep and 28 mm wide NACA profile, specifically designed for allrounder performance on flat or hilly terrain. The new rim bottom shape makes it easier than ever to fit tubeless and tubular tyres. UST Tubeless means no tubes, so no friction, and more air volume means a smoother ride. The result is a faster ride with very low rolling resistance. The improved spokes make this wheel 80g lighter than its predecessor, the Cosmic Pro Carbon UST Disc. Combined with the brand new Infinity hub platform, which makes the wheels fast and responsive in every turn, they are stiffer and more efficient.

The Cosmic SL 45 Disc is designed specifically for disc brakes, with an optimised number of spokes and lacing. They are only offered in a Center Lock version and are compatible with 12 mm through axles and can be converted to quick release with the included adapters. They are available for Shimano cassettes and can be converted to SRAM XD-R or Campagnolo with an optional guide body.
These wheels are designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handmade in their European carbon factory.

Intended use

• ASTM Category 2: road and off-road with jumps up to 15 cm
• For a longer wheel life, Mavic recommends that the total weight carried by the bike wheels should not exceed 120 kg, including the bike
• Maximum tyre pressure: 6.75bar/97PSI with a 23mm tyre - 3.8bar/55PSI with a 62mm tyre
• Recommended tyre size: 25-32 mm
• Maximum pressure: See the indication on the wheel and tyre. If they do not match, use the lower of the two.
