Salice 022 eyewear replacement lens

Photochromic, anti-fog, mirrored and anti-reflective lenses these are some of the technologies adopted by Salice Occhiali to protect your eyes. The Rainbow anti-scratch polycarbonate lens undergoes multi-layer tinting on the front that aims to reduce reflections from dazzling surfaces (water, snow and ice) and at the same time increase the filtering power of the lens. UV400 protection guarantees maximum coverage from ultraviolet rays.

Technologies

Anti-reflection treatment
The anti-reflective treatment is carried out on the inside of the lens to eliminate the glare created by reflection of light on the lens itself. The result is an increase in contrast and improved image perception.

Hydrophobic treatment
Lenses treated with IDRO technology undergo a special process that makes their surface smoother than a normal lens, so dirt and water slide off quickly and the lens stays clean. Lenses treated with IDRO technology are perfect for outdoor sports: water, dust and dirt stains will no longer be a problem. In addition to the obvious practical benefit, these new lenses guarantee better and always sharp vision.

High-contrast lens
The light that filters into the human eye is divided into the visible spectrum, in the wavelengths between 380 and 780 nm, and the non-visible spectrum, which includes light in the ultraviolet range (UV light) and the infrared range (IR light). The blue component of light between 380 and 500 nm is also known as high-energy visible light (HEV). Lenses with a blue light filter elicit a 'sensation' in the wearer due to the effect of the chemical components and oxides used in dyes and coloured coatings. This treatment stimulates the receptor cells in the retina, creating a sensation in the brain for each specific lens colour. Colours are seen as 'pop' and adapt to all kinds of activities, sporting and otherwise. In particular, red, green and yellow colours are able to filter through the treated lens, creating greater contrast, better separation of visible colours and a greater sense of depth. The result ensures faster reactions and better performance for the wearer.

RW Rainbow lens
The Rainbow anti-scratch polycarbonate lens is subjected to a 'multi-layer' tint on the front that aims to reduce reflections from dazzling surfaces (water, snow and ice) while increasing the filtering power of the lens. UV400 protection guarantees maximum coverage from ultraviolet rays.

Photochromic mirrored (RWX)
The RWX by NXT® lens combines high-tech elements with elements of great aesthetic appeal. The RWX by NXT® lens is developed on the basis of the most advanced photochromic technology and provides the right level of protection when needed as it adapts immediately to any light intensity. From bright sunshine to sunset, the lens protects the eyes from 100 per cent UV rays.Photochromic molecules are directly embedded in the polymer compound and inserted on the outermost surface of the lens, guaranteeing long-lasting and optimal photochromic control. In particular, the RWX by NXT® lens ensures fast kinetics during both activation and clearing. The RWX by NXT® lens is versatile, switching from category 1, when not activated, under lower light conditions, to category 3, when activated, under higher light conditions. In addition to its technical properties, the RWX by NXT® lens also enhances the wearer's appearance. From a subtle shine, while not activated, to an intense blue appearance in brighter conditions. This multilayer treatment also helps to protect against glare, thereby reducing eye fatigue. In addition, the RWX by NXT® lens undergoes an oil-repellent surface treatment that allows dust and water to easily slide off the outer surface of the lens, also preventing the formation of scratches, stains, and fingerprints.
