Technologies
Servowave Action
When the SERVOWAVE brake lever is operated, the initial cable recall is rapid, so a small lever movement is sufficient to bring the pads into contact with the disc brake rotor. Then the power multiplication factor increases rapidly at the contact between the pad and rim, so more lever travel is used to apply more braking power with higher levels of control.
Reach Adjust
The brake lever is equipped with a mechanism for adjusting the stroke. The distance between the handlebar grip and the lever can be adjusted to suit any size of hand and the rider's individual style and preference.
Dual Control Lever (DCL)
The lever performs braking and shifting functions and is easy and intuitive to use.

Ice Technologies
The loss of efficiency that can affect the rotor and pads during braking on a long descent, for example, has a negative impact on brake performance. SHIMANO has adopted the ICE TECHNOLOGIES rotor and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pads to achieve a cooling technology capable of ensuring consistent performance. The rotor fin, which features a three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel, aluminium and stainless steel, ensures more efficient heat dissipation. In addition, the cooling fin has also been adopted for the pad. The disc brake rotor fin increases pad life, reduces noise, efficiency losses and weight.
One Way Bleeding
The "ONE WAY BLEEDING" function was developed to ensure the quick and easy prevention of air leaks in hydraulic systems. Shimano has optimised the entire oil circuit in the system to prevent the presence of air bubbles inside it. The unidirectional oil circuit, together with a funnel-shaped tool with mineral oil, guarantees an easy and clean bleeding system.
Mono-Body
The SHIMANO MONO-BODY caliper is turned from a single cold-forged block to maximise rigidity. A perfect balance of stiffness and lightness, the MONO-BODY caliper is a component of the linear response hydraulic disc brake system. The linear response guarantees great power and perfect control.
