GRX RD-RX810 is the Shimano specific gravel, touring and cyclocross derailleur
The Japanese manufacturer never stops surprising us with its innovations. This time Shimano dedicated a special attention to the development of a completely innovative groupset: the GRX RD for those who appreciate versatility and don't stop at obstacles.
Thanks to the increasing popularity of disciplines such as gravel, cyclocross and touring, Shimano decided to invest all its knowledge and enthusiasm in something completely new. Keeping the gearbox extremely precise and the chain in place on any terrain was a kind of challenge, but it was solved thanks to a series of features from both MTB and Road models. Thus, the built-in stabilizer (clutch) reliably prevents the chain from hitting the derailleur and chainstay remaining firmly in place. When passing on the road surface, where chain control is not vital, the clutch can be deactivated by simply moving the dedicated lever. The rear derailleur has its own adjustment screw, on which the cable tension can be adjusted, and 13-tooth pulleys with sealed, extremely efficient bearings. In the 2x11 configuration it will be an excellent choice for touring on bumpy terrains.

Shimano Shadow RD
The rear derailleur Shimano Shadow RD mechanism is intended for more aggressive riding. Its super low profile design carries many benefits. Because of its low profile and single tension construction, the derailleur does not hit the chain stay in rough riding conditions. The result is smooth and silent performance.
