Ramped and siped center tread blocks provide strong traction and accurate steering, while the shoulder knobs offer a continuous biting edge for railing through fast corners. The Grid Gravity casing compliments gravity riding with an all-new 2-ply construction for cornering stability and flat protection. Building on this solid base, the high-dampening T9 Gripton® compound rebounds slowly to grip and stick to the ground for total traction and control.

Technology

Gripton compound
The Gripton compound uses 'mostly synthetic rubber reinforced with silicon dioxide', which reduces the amount of energy lost through hysteresis. This basically means less deformation, less heat build-up, and a more efficient tyre with improved rolling resistance when compared to natural rubber. The Gripton compound is soft, allowing it to adapt and conform to rough surfaces. It has a durometer of 56 A, making it much softer than other tyres, meaning the tyre not only conforms to the surface it is rolling over, but also filters vibration, which produces a smoother ride.
