Specialized Demo Race 2024
Maximum speed has always been the main objective when designing the Demos. The frame design provides flexibility in wheel mounting and allows the rider to mount a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel. A combination already tested by World Champion Loic Bruni who was looking for the perfect balance between traction and manoeuvrability, now also approved by the UCI. The Demo Race rose to the top of the world rankings and the World Cup in its first season.
The trajectory of the rear axle minimises the effect of obstacle impacts on the rear wheel, increasing speed. Öhlins suspension with the kinematics that are highly appreciated on the World Cup circuit, together with the DH-specific SRAM X01 drivetrain, make the Demo Race the perfect weapon for every run.
The M5 alloy frame design provides for the fitting of a 29-inch front wheel, perfect for traction, and a more manoeuvrable 27.5-inch rear wheel. At the same time, it is also possible to opt for a 29er on the rear wheel to accommodate different riding styles or types of trails. The rear suspension is adjustable so that the length of the chainstays and the ride height remain calibrated, regardless of wheel size.
The Öhlins TTX 22M.2 shock absorber is capable of tackling the most technical DH trails in the World Cup. The Ohlins DH38 fork with 200mm travel is a guarantee on the most demanding drops.
