Sram Level Ultimate Carbon disc brake set

Power-to-weight ratio is the firs strong point of this disk brake. Superfluous grams: chopped. Extraneous hardware: chiseled to essentials!

In a quest to pack the most braking power in the lightest-weight package, Sram created a new champion: the next-gen Level. With carved levers, sculpted calipers and a superior heat management system, Level delivers distinct power with zero grams to lose.

Race proven
Some believe in luck, Sram believe in engineering. Their championship streak isn’t the stars aligning — it's smart design in perfect alignment.

Two-piston performance
Two-piston power and sealed pivot bearings transfer your lightest touch to the caliper pistons. It’s traction and control, right when you need it.

Stiffer caliper, more power
With a stiff two-piece caliper, wide open pad pocket, larger friction puck and more aggressive organic pad compound, Level’s fully ready.

Even pad advancement
Sram dissected every brake on the market, then built a better one. Their calipers advance pads more uniformly, ensuring longevity with control.

Hidden reach
A fast bike is a light bike, brakes included. To shave grams and protect internals, they hid the reach adjust. It’s still a simple adjustment, just use a tool.

Technologies

Bleeding Edge
Bleeding Edge™ technology makes bleeding brakes quick and simple. An updated fluid path and bleed porting make it easier to push fluid through the calliper. A dedicated bleed adapter plugs into the bleed port and seals the system to minimize air contamination and fluid loss.

DirectLink™
Sram’s DirectLink lever design produces a solid, positive feel the second you squeeze the lever to engage the brake It offers a no-nonsense solution to give you precise control.

DOT 5.1™
Heat is an enemy of any brake system, so advancements in heat management mean advancements in your ride. Sram has found that in its systems DOT 5.1 takes almost three times longer to boil than DOT 4, thus allowing flawless, fade-free performance in even more extreme conditions.

Expandable Bladder
Sram’s new brake lever design includes a reshaped bladder that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. The bladder is specifically shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push the fluid exactly where it’s needed. The result is improved back-pressure relief, which produces dependable braking power and consistency.

Heat Shield
The stainless steel heat shields breaks the thermal connection between the pad and calliper body, reducing calliper fluid temperature by about 20°C even in the most extreme testing conditions.

Lever Pivot Bearings
Precision sealed bearings at the lever pivot enhance the clean, crisp lever actuation and consistent, light, one-finger feel.

MatchMaker X (MMX)
The MatchMaker X clamp is more than just a clamp. It’s like having Martha Stewart tidy up your cockpit. Since each clamp accepts up to three controls, you can put everything from your XLoc suspension lockout, your Sram shifters and Avid brake levers as well as your Reverb XLoc remote, all on two clamps. Short of genetically engineering longer thumbs, it’s the ideal way to put everything within easy reach. Just like Martha would.

PiggyBack™ Reservoir
The brake fluid reservoir on Sram’s latest lever design is optimized for both performance and ease of use. The PiggyBack Reservoir offers a simple, failsafe way to manage brake fluid, and also allows for ambidextrous lever placement—so you can switch your levers on the handlebar and run them moto without hassle.

Timing Port Closure
A hydraulic brake’s timing port is the connection between the reservoir and the master cylinder bore. When the lever is squeezed, a cup seal passes this area and closes the port, which pressurizes the system. Sram’s new timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing dependable braking power and consistency.
