Syncros Tofino V SL saddle

Take our top endurance orientated saddle, the Tofino R and add the latest in carbon molding to get the SL (Super Light) version. This kind of technology usually costs twice the price and gives half the comfort. Don't take these word for it though, just take a look at the bike of former World Champion Kate Courtney! This top Endurance orientated saddle, the Tofino V is part of Syncros's V-Concept saddle program which was developed for the more flexible rider, particularly in the pelvis and lumbar spine, who tend to ride a more aggressive aero position. Their shape on the bike is similar to a V, hence the name. These riders sit towards the front of the saddle supported by their pubic rami. The riding position is lower in general and requires a slightly different shaped saddle. The 1.0 features carbon rails for the ultimate in lightweight. The Channel version aims for larger contact area with the goal is to reduce pressure spots while still allowing contact with the saddle. Developed in conjunction with world renowned bike fit company Gebiomized, this saddle has been designed to offer the maximum tailored bike fit solution for an off the peg saddle.

Technology

SL Carbon Layup
The Syncros superlight SL Line uses the highest quality carbon fibre and construction techniques to produce components that are on average 10% lighter while maintaining the same performance and durability characteristic. These race bred components represent the absolute top of the range, designed specifically for SCOTT RC bikes.

Carbon RTM (Resin Transfer Molding)
RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) allows for the precise construction of carbon parts to create uniform structures more easily than traditional carbon molding The process begins with preforming dry fibers (as oppose to the more common traditional prepeg layers) and then injecting the resin under high pressure before curing the whole piece.

Saddle V Concept
Developed for flexible riders who ride an aggressive position seated front to middle of the saddle. This position is optimized for power transfer and comfort.
