Urta Max SLR is the new MTB with 120mm of travel that was created with the intention of giving the athletes of the Factory Team Wilier Pirelli a modern and versatile race bike: a high-performance suspension system, precise to the guide, safe. A bike that from the very first pedal strokes will make you feel you are on an ideal bike for racing and having fun on the most demanding trails.

New suspension system
The new suspension system on the Urta Max is single-pivot. The compression ratio has been optimised to work extremely effectively on all types of terrain. The rear Rock Shox and Fox 45mm travel shock absorbers fitted as standard have specially designed compression curves to work in symbiosis with the leverage ratio chosen at the design stage. There are three operating phases: an initial regressive phase (stiffer and more sustained), a central phase that is more reactive and sensitive when maximum pedalling efficiency is required, and a final phase that is progressive, to prevent the suspension from ending its travel.

Frame structure
The two triangles that make up the Urta Max SLR frame are made of HUS-MOD high-modulus carbon fibre, the same used in all Wilier's top-of-the-range products. Maximum rigidity only where necessary. The front triangle completely integrates the cables inside the frame but, unlike previous models - where the tubes and sheaths entered on pre-drilled holes in the carbon - on Urta Max the brake, control and dropper tubes enter above the headset, as on road bikes. A solution that provides absolute aesthetic cleanliness and, not least, improves the overall rigidity of the headset because the absence of holes guarantees continuity of modularity and directionality of the carbon fibres. Urta Max's rear triangle is designed with a single fulcrum solution. The new connecting rod is designed to give the frame maximum efficiency in the 120mm travel.

Designed for the most modern drivetrains
Urta Max SLR is designed to accommodate the most modern drivetrains currently on the market.
It can accommodate a front chainring up to 38 teeth and the standard UDH dropout is also compatible with the new Sram Eagle Transmission groupsets.

Telescopic seat post as standard
Urta Max SLR leaves the Rossano Veneto factory with a telescopic seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Each size has a telescopic seat post with dedicated travel: 100 mm travel in sizes S and M, 125 mm travel for sizes L and XL.

Maximum frame protection
To protect the rear frame and its bearings, we have designed a special rubber cover which, installed in the junction area of the frame triangles, prevents mud, dirt or debris from affecting the reliability and durability of the frame in the long term.

Tyre passage
At the rear we have a 70 mm clearance point that allows the adoption of the most modern tyres in the off-road sector, up to 2.4", ideal for all types of cross-country trails.

Geometries
The geometries of the Urta Max have been designed and optimised to fit a 120mm travel fork, with the ultimate goal of keeping the rider in a racing, low and collected position. To do this we have reduced the stack to a minimum, lengthened the reach and kept the bottom bracket lower. A solution that allows the rider to stay collected on the bike, in a better performance position. Going into detail, in size M the stack is 598 mm and the reach 443 mm, while the head angle is more open at 67.5° and the seat tube verticalised to 75°. With these values the resulting wheelbase is greater than on the previous model of the Urta. All this gives the rider a greater sense of riding security and aggressiveness in the push position.

New Urta Max Bar
Closing the carbon module is the new Urta Max Bar monocoque carbon fold. The bend integrates perfectly with the frame - as on road products - thanks to special dedicated shims. The level of comfort is kept high by the material used: high-modulus HUS-MOD carbon with considerable capacity to absorb on the vertical plane all the micro-vibrations arising from the unevenness of the terrain. The particular negative inclination of the stem (- 27°) guarantees the rider a collected position for a more powerful pedal stroke when pushing, technical climbing and relaunching.
