WTB Sendero TCS Tubeless tyre

Sendero is for riders who believe "sending it" shouldn’t be limited to mountain bikes. As the first Road Plus tire designed solely with dirt in mind, the Sendero combines drop bar efficiency with the capabilities of an aggressive tread design. Ramped center knobs minimize rolling resistance while substantially spaced outer knobs promise footing in loose terrain. Looking to ride mountain bike tires on your drop bar bike? The Sendero is for you.

Mountain bike inspiration
But wait, isn't this a gravel tire? Yes, but no. Sendero was designed for riding loose, aggressive trails on a drop bar bike. WTB took the tall, blocky knobs and deep siping that are decidedly mountain tire traits and put them to use on a tire that is undecidely gravel/mountain.

Party knobs everywhere
Knobs are are tightly spaced along the centerline to keep it rolling fast like a gravel tire needs to, but they remain relatively tall to deliver traction while sideways braking hammering up a rocky climb. Big knobs mean big traction for those days when you want to party on your gravel bike.

Road Plus 650
Road Plus 650 x 47 tires end up being the same overall diameter as a 700 x 30mm road tire, allowing riders to benefit from both high-volume comfort and large-diameter efficiency. Inspired by progressive gravel events along the lines of Grinduro, the Sendero 47 provides an aggressive tread pattern in the high-volume Road Plus 650 format, combining drop bar efficiency and mountain bike traction.

Tubeless compatible
TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless system. These tires feature a TCS tubeless casing, which nearly eliminates flats and allows lower tire pressures to improve traction and comfort over a traditional tube-type tire.

TCS light casing
TCS Light tubeless tires feature one layer of casing to minimize rotational weight while simultaneously increasing the overall liveliness of a tire. Using a single layer of casing results in a gram-conscious tire that better conforms to any terrain and increases traction without the need for excessive knob heights that would reduce efficiency. Many of TCS Light gravel tires feature SG2, which is unique puncture protection technology that provides bead-to-bead coverage to ensure both the tread and sidewall are protected from slashes and punctures.

Black or tan sidewalls
It's nice to have options, which is why most of gravel tires are available with either black or tan sidewalls. Traditional black sidewalls tend to blend in with the components and wheels of a bike and may look sleeker in the eyes of some riders. WTB tanwall tires blend retroesque looks with modern technology to create an iconic look that has become synonymous with high-performance gravel. Looks aside, gram counters may choose tan tires because the compounds used to make them are slightly lighter than those used to manufacture black sidewalls.
